The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the lifecycle of APSRC purchases, from the time of purchase to the time of disposal. The position manages and oversees all purchasing activities of the center. This position determines the appropriate method of procurement, submits all purchase requests, reconciles purchases to the appropriate center or project index, tracks inventory, and disposes of inventory once the center determines there is no longer a need for the inventory.

Loan Administrator Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The Financial Aid Loan Administrator position requires an individual who is dynamic, student-oriented, and a critical thinker. This position is responsible for the overall administration of Federal Direct Loans and various private education loans. This position will perform a variety of duties associated with the Title IV financial aid eligibility evaluation process, including reviewing student and family financial aid information and determining the type and amount of financial assistance to be awarded. This position will require applicants to have a genuine interest in promoting student success.

The DC identifies and pursues ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative procedures. The DC is also the executive assistant to the chair(s) and supervises administrative support staff. This position will be primarily working with the MSE department but may also provide financial assistance and administrative support in other departments under the College of Engineering as needed.

This position is responsible for promoting and driving the mission of Student Support and Mentorship to optimize the success of all students. Student Support and Mentorship provides students with an extra hand in understanding their academics, social support, and how to navigate their time on the Michigan Tech campus. Student Support and Mentorship engages in intentional outreach and program development that fosters belonging and retention, enabling academic thriving, graduation, and post-graduation opportunities in the workforce or pursuing advanced degrees. Under the supervision of the director of Student Support and Mentorship and secondary supervision from the PI of the Scholarships in Science Technology, Engineering, and Math (S-STEM) grant, the coordinator is responsible for implementing and assessing programs and events that align with the departmental and unit mission. This includes collaborating with program directors and other university departments to deliver local and national career and professional development opportunities. The coordinator will also provide outreach to new students, introducing them to center resources and other support across campus. The ideal individual must be committed to a student-centered philosophy, engagement, and practices, and be a strong collaborator. This position is partially funded through a grant from the National Science Foundation, which extends through the 2029-2030 academic year.
