Faculty Internal Medicine (.6) West Des Moines
Position is for a part-time academic Internal Medicine position. The position would average anywhere between 12 and 24 hours per week (up to .6 FTE) depending on the availability and preference of the candidate(s). Position reports to the Chair of the Department of Osteopathic Clinical Medicine. This physician is responsible, along with the Osteopathic Clinical Medicine faculty, for provision of educational lectures, laboratories and other educational modalities to support the educational priorities of the department and University.
Faculty Public Health West Des Moines
Teaches courses in the MPH and/or MHA program curricula, conducts research, and participates in academic governance responsibilities.
Standardized Patient West Des Moines
In a clinical-like setting (in-person or online), portrays cases similar to what learners would encounter in actual clinical settings. Simulated patients are expected to consistently and accurately portray trained cases including typical emotions, behaviors and symptoms. Responsible for memorizing a script and recalling actions performed by learners to document performance and skill level of each learner consistently and accurately. Case portrayals may include communication, physical examination or both. Simulated patients may also provide feedback and/or assess learners using specific measurement tools. Participation in group or individual training is expected in order to prepare for case portrayal. Work hours are variable and on an on-call basis.

Athletic Trainers are healthcare providers who specialize in providing primary care, injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion and education, emergent care, examination and clinical diagnosis, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
