The Area Coordinator is a 12-month live-in position. The Area Coordinator is responsible for the overall functioning of a student residence area of campus consisting of 6-8 residence halls, including direct supervision and development of Residential Fellows and Resident Advisors. The Associate Director of Residential Life and Orientation is a 12-month position who reports to the Assistant Vice President of Student Engagement and Executive Director of Residential Life. The Associate Director will be responsible for the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of three Area Coordinators. The Associate Director will oversee all community development efforts in the residence halls, work closely with our living learning community and help establish a residential curriculum. The Associate Director will work with Area Coordinators to ensure the selection, training and development of 76 student staff. The Associate Director will also directly supervise the Orientation Captains and indirectly supervise the Orientation Leaders as they work to produce a comprehensive welcoming experience for students on campus in the Fall and Spring.
