The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, which has offered a major in statistics since 1986, invites applications for a tenure-track position in statistics at the Assistant Professor level to begin Fall 2023. Qualifications include a doctorate in statistics or a related field (completed or anticipated by Fall 2023), a commitment to teaching and scholarship in a liberal arts environment, and evidence of classroom effectiveness. A well-established candidate at the Associate Professor level will also be considered.
Mount Holyoke College is an institution that values excellence in both research and teaching. We seek a candidate with a sustainable research program and an active interest in work with undergraduates on statistical research projects. Candidates from all fields of statistical methodology and areas of application will be considered.
