The Leadership Education and Development unit of the Dean of Students Office provides engaging leadership experiences to student learners at all levels of leadership readiness. The graduate assistant will coordinate program logistics, supervise student employees, assess programs/initiatives, and consult with student organizations.

Student Counseling Services at Illinois State University is seeking an experienced Psychologist to provide oversight for the training program activities within the department. Primary administrative duties of this position involve management and coordination of our American Psychological Association accredited doctoral internship program, which selects four interns each year. The person in this role also serves on the department’s Leadership Team.

The Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications will serve as part of the Student Affairs central marketing team to advance the marketing efforts and brand awareness of the Division of Student Affairs through various communication strategies. This individual will promote the programs and services provided throughout Student Affairs and support its departments with their marketing efforts.

The majority of the graduate teaching assistants primary duties are in support of instruction including but not limited to the responsibilities below: 1. Serve as a primary or secondary teaching instructor in a class or laboratory; 2. Assist a faculty member with teaching-related tasks; 3. Grade student assignments which require knowledge of subjects taught in a class or laboratory; 4. Meet with and/or tutor students, mentor students in disciplinary writing, hold office hours, prepare instructional materials, and assist during class and/or lab.

Graduate teaching assistants are generally assigned to individual faculty members to assist with course instruction. The nature of the assistance varies by discipline and can involve a variety of activities.
