University High School at Illinois State University is hiring an Engineering Teacher. Candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Engineering and Agriculture. University High School is a service unit of the College of Education of Illinois State University. It offers a comprehensive program of instruction for 625 students in grades 9-12. This unique school acts as a laboratory for 21st century educational innovation and research. The mission of the school is to provide a site in which excellence in education theory may be connected to practice. Extra-curricular duties may be assigned.

The majority of the graduate teaching assistant’s primary duties are in support of instruction including but not limited to the responsibilities below: 1. Serve as a primary or secondary teaching instructor in a class or laboratory 2. Assist a faculty member with teaching-related tasks 3. Grade student assignments which require knowledge of subjects taught in a class or laboratory 4. Meet with and/or tutor students, hold office hours, prepare instructional materials, and assist during class and/or lab, etc. For this position, Teaching Assistant will assist with one section of SWK 170: Introduction to Social Work

Graduate Assistants in CAST Connections, support and execute the programs, services, and outreach efforts of CAST Connections.

Serve as a Daily Rate Substitute Teacher, providing academic classroom instruction for students in the absence of the regular teacher.
