The associate vice president for undergraduate education (AVPUE) provides leadership and coordination for the University’s undergraduate academic and student success infrastructure, advancing initiatives that promote high-quality learning, inclusive excellence, and timely degree completion. Areas reporting to or working closely with the AVPUE include: * University College * Honors Program * Registrar's Office * Advising Advocacy and Technology Through these areas, the AVPUE ensures that Illinois State's undergraduate education remains student-centered, innovative, and inclusive by aligning academic programs and support services to sustain the University's record of excellence and its deep commitment to student success.

The Lab School Coach is responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of the program in accordance with Laboratory Schools and IHSA/IESA policies.

The Honors Program is looking for engaging and motivated Instructional Assistant Professors to teach the Honors Mindset Seminar (HMS). HMS is a 1-hour class designed to introduce first-year Honors students to the Honors Program and to help them develop an Honors Mindset. This is a part-time, non-tenure-track appointment. Multiple positions are available.

The primary responsibility of the Standardized Patient is to portray the characteristics of a real patient, simulating all aspects of the created scenarios, primarily in the simulated in-patient setting including history of current problem, affect/behavior and physical findings, in a standardized, accurate, and reliable manner. Scenario facts must be accurately memorized, retained, and portrayed. Scenarios may be audio and videotaped for evaluative purposes. Multiple opportunities exist with flexible schedules.

Serve as a Daily Rate Substitute Teacher, providing academic classroom instruction for students in the absence of the regular teacher. Metcalf Laboratory School is a service unit of the College of Education of Illinois State University. It offers a comprehensive program of instruction for 400+ students in grades PreK-8. Metcalf is a caring community of life-long learners. Its mission is to act as a model for educational methods and theory in support of the preparation of future educators, conduct educational research, offer quality educational programs for children, and disseminate information to others in the educational profession.
