Illinois State University’s Katie School of Insurance and Risk Management is seeking an Associate Director, a role with the primary goal of connecting industry to students and students to industry. First Star Graduate Assistants (GSs) receive hands-on experiences that enhance their understanding of youth receiving foster care services as well as social, community and political issues affecting this population. GAs play a critical role in the success of the Academy and are expected to build on their foundational social work knowledge (i.e., practice and theories) and apply course content while interacting with scholars, caregivers, and caseworkers.

This position routinely works with student-athletes implementing training plans to optimize athletic development; teach, build relationships, motivate, and track progression. Design annual training plans to meet the unique demands of each student-athlete and sport. Constantly communicate with athletic trainers and other members of the performance team to update student-athletes status. Mentor volunteer coaches, interns, etc. Partake in personal and professional development.
