About the Role
The Soil Conservation Service (SCS) are seeking a Business Performance Supervisor to lead a small team providing procurement and administrative support services to facilitate the delivery of business operations to agreed standards

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in supervising procurement teams and independently managing resources, supplier engagement, contract administration, asset registers, records, and monthly procurement reporting.
  • Capability in overseeing procurement process administration, coordinating supplier performance reviews, conducting internal audits, and reporting on procurement deliverables.
  • Experience in performing quality control across procurement activities—reviewing purchase orders, invoices, and contract documentation, and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with Project Managers.
  • Knowledge of researching, analysing, and reporting procurement and business management issues to support strategic sourcing and operational decisions.
  • Capability in preparing and collating procurement documentation, including contracts, briefing papers, and records of procurement decision-making.
  • Knowledge in guiding staff on procurement procedures, records management, and contract administration, providing support on supplier and operational matters.
  • Capability in reviewing and improving administrative, operational, and client service processes within the procurement function, including refinement of correspondence templates and briefing frameworks.
