You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the hype.
The Reject Shop is now part of global retail giant Dollarama, and we’re building something big.

2026 is set to be a huge year. Our store network is expanding, our customer experience is evolving, and we’re growing towards 700 stores. Behind the scenes, our Safety & Asset Protection team is helping keep our people, customers and stores safe, and this is your chance to be part of it.

We’re looking for a Safety & Asset Protection Coordinator to join our People & Culture team at our Store Support Centre. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help coordinate safety and incident management, support injury and workers’ compensation processes, and play a key role in protecting our stores from risk, theft and loss.

You’ll work across the business, partnering with stores, operations, People & Culture and external stakeholders to make sure incidents are managed effectively, information is accurate, and actions are followed through.

If you’re passionate about safety, enjoy solving problems, are naturally organised and want to build a career in Safety, Risk or Asset Protection, this could be the opportunity for you.

  • Assisting with incident investigations by gathering information, evidence and CCTV footage.
  • Managing CCTV footage requests and supporting stores with security and evidence requirements.
  • Monitoring and maintaining Auror incident reporting and case management records.
  • Supporting stores with theft, security and offender reporting.
  • Producing regular safety, incident, shrink and asset protection reports.
  • Using Excel and internal systems to maintain accurate data, identify trends and provide useful insights to the business.
  • Triaging risk and emerging issues, helping the team identify where further action or investigation may be required.
  • Liaising with Police and other external stakeholders when required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for stores on safety and asset protection queries.
  • Following up outstanding actions and helping ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Supporting safety, risk and asset protection projects, initiatives and communications across the store network.
  • Working with teams across the business to help create safer stores and continuously improve how we manage risk.

What you’ll bring

You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone who is curious, willing to learn and genuinely interested in building a career in Safety, Risk or Asset Protection.

You’ll bring:

  • A genuine passion for workplace safety, risk, compliance or loss prevention.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with people across all levels of the business.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a natural ability to keep information, records and processes organised.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to investigate an issue, ask the right questions and work through practical solutions.
  • A proactive mindset, you see something that needs doing and get onto it.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • A willingness to learn systems such as Auror, CCTV and incident management platforms.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or studies in HR, Safety, Risk, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

Experience in a safety, compliance, risk, operations, HR or loss prevention environment is great, but we’re equally interested in people who have the right mindset, communication skills and desire to learn.
