About us

DHA was established in 1988 following passage of the Defence Housing Australia Act 1987 (DHA Act) to provide adequate and suitable housing for, and housing related services to, members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families. We remain committed to our purpose of providing housing, and housing related services, to ADF members and their families to support Defence’s operational needs.  

DHA manages an expanding portfolio of housing solutions and provides housing for over 17,200 ADF members and their families and administers rent allowance for more than 16,000 ADF members and their families in private rental accommodation. DHA provides housing related services advising on eligibility, providing posting support, and managing bookings and allocation services for all DHA provisioned housing and on-base accommodation to approximately 60,000 ADF members.

About your team

Business Solutions & Technology is responsible for all software related business analysis, business solutions, in-house software development, telephony, IT Services and Infrastructure. We deliver business as usual activities and innovation driven initiatives that provide efficiencies to the broader organisation. This role reports to the Director, Technology Partnerships & Architecture within Business Solutions and Technology (BS&T).

Business Solutions and Technology (BS&T) has redesigned its operating model to partner with our business stakeholders to deliver a Modernisation & Improvement program. Under this operating model, you will partner with business stakeholders to confirm current and future technology requirements. Working closely with the service delivery group representatives and corporate services teams to identify opportunities for BS&T to progress the innovative utilisation of technology. You will leverage your experience to provide expert advice and assistance to system users, investigate complex issues, determine business impacts and recommend improved ways of leveraging current technology to deliver better outcomes for DHA.

About the role

As the Technology Business Partner, you will develop technology briefs to support ICT enhancement and innovation. You will inject strategic leadership into projects and programs and facilitate the progression of technology improvements through DHA’s IT governance framework. This role involves working as an enabling partner to offer strategic advice to business stakeholders, proactively identify new business requirements requiring ICT contribution, extract value from vendor partnerships, manage delivery roadmaps, and undertake prioritisation and benefits realisation. You will negotiate and plan with your stakeholders to create, facilitate and drive effective organisational change in support of DHA’s Corporate Plan and strategic direction.
