| The Nursing Supervisor provides supervisory and clinical nursing oversight to include overall direction of nursing operations during an assigned shift of duty. This position makes rounds to ensure proper level and quality of care and compliance with facility policies and procedures and State, Federal and VA regulations. The Nursing Supervisor responds to and takes appropriate action in emergency situations and is responsible for supervising nursing staff assigned to the shift including orientation, training, performance appraisals and discipline, as needed. The employee in this position will learn, implement and monitor Arizona Management System (AMS) methods and will use AMS concepts and tools for problem solving and continuous work/process improvements and efficiencies. The Nursing Supervisor incorporates a cultural focus on Veteran/Member centered care in the performance of job duties. |
