| The Nursing Supervisor provides supervisory and clinical nursing oversight to include overall direction of nursing operations during an assigned shift of duty. This position makes rounds to ensure proper level and quality of care and compliance with facility policies and procedures and State, Federal and VA regulations. The Nursing Supervisor responds to and takes appropriate action in emergency situations and is responsible for supervising nursing staff assigned to the shift including orientation, training, performance appraisals and discipline, as needed. The employee in this position will learn, implement and monitor Arizona Management System (AMS) methods and will use AMS concepts and tools for problem solving and continuous work/process improvements and efficiencies. The Nursing Supervisor incorporates a cultural focus on Veteran/Member centered care in the performance of job duties. |

| Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Safety and Preparedness Specialist will complete work of considerable difficulty to ensure the hospital remains in compliance with various regulatory standards specific to Life Safety, Environment of Care, and Emergency Management - including those mandated by the NFPA, OSHA, CMS, state licensing, and The Joint Commission. Provides guidance and support to the Operations team by emphasizing and conducting safety assessments. Ensures safety and quality control ls in compliance with local, federal, state regulation and provides consultations and performs risk assessments when necessary. |
