Ordnance Handler

Ordnance Handler (OH) performs Conventional (Conv.) and/or Large Rocket Motor (LRM) Operations; capable of performing all tasks related to the safe and efficient shipping, receiving, storage, inventory, housekeeping, and related duties for Arms, Ammunition and Explosive (AA&E) commodities. AA&E normally consists of (but is not limited too) Small Arms Ammunition, Pyrotechnics, Small Rockets, Assorted Hazardous Material items (referred to as Conv.Ops), Large Scale AA&E commodities such as; Minuteman, Trident, Castor, etc. Rocket Motors (referred to as LRM Ops). OH also performs similar duties with Non-Hazardous Materials such as asset support stocks, equipment, and other customer related commodities.
Increased customer requirements will/may include the need for OH to perform specialized handling of AA&E such as disassembly of arm/disarm and safe devices, nozzle removal, exudate cleanup, component installations/removals as specified by customer technical documents. OH conducting these tasks must perform so with the utmost care and consideration for the risks associated.
Performs work within the Ammunition Storage Area (ASA) which will place the individual within the Explosive Safety Quantity Distances (ESQD) Arc of a Potential Explosion Site (PES). |
SECURITY OFFICER 2

This position supervises, leads, directs, and mentors a shift of armed security officers providing security services to Papago Military Park Reservation (PPMR) facilities to protect against threats that would justify use of force, to include deadly force. Responsible for overseeing all shift activities and related administrative actions; conducts Security Officer training as required. |

• This position is responsible for procuring commodities and services requested by ADE programs statewide within delegated procurement authority and according to policies and procedures.
• The responsibilities include preparing and issuing informal solicitations for commodities and general services, documenting the receipt of goods and services, entering requisitions and processing purchase orders with the State's e-procurement system.
• Rare in-state travel may be required for this position.
The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate. |
