| Under general supervision, is responsible for conducting on-site elevator and similar conveyances safety inspections, consulting visits, complaint and accident investigations. Has the authority to make on-site elevator and related equipment inspections, investigations, consulting visits in accordance with applicable laws, standards, practices and procedures in the trade; to sign acceptance tags for new elevators; to red tag elevators and related equipment if unsafe or not in compliance with Arizona Occupational Safety and Health Act or Elevator Act. Performs tests and inspections of elevators, lifts, hoists, escalators and related equipment to assure compliance with the Arizona Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Arizona Elevator Act. |

| The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Forensic Scientist III specializing in the TOXICOLOGY and BLOOD ALCOHOL disciplines. A Forensic Scientist utilizes chemical, microscopic, chromatographic, and comparative techniques and instrumentation to examine, identify and evaluate physical evidence which may include: controlled dangerous substances; blood, urine, and other biological specimens; firearms; questioned documents; latent prints; trace evidence; and other items of evidentiary value. Prepares technical reports; provides expert testimony in court; provides technical advice and guidance to and trains other forensic scientists; recommends revisions to analytical methodology and purchase of scientific equipment; serves as an experienced casework analyst working complex cases within the discipline and performs related tasks as required. Supervision is received from a Supervising Forensic Scientist.

Laboratory Compliance Officer

| Performs work corresponding to the activities within the Laboratory Licensure and Certification Office. Assists or determines the issuing of licenses to laboratories (Clinical) by ensuring the minimum standards of proficiency, methodology, quality assurance, operation and safety. Conducts initial and periodic inspections of laboratories and facilities to determine compliance with the Federal Code of Regulations, state Statutes or Rules. Review of quality systems by tracking documents, corrective actions, and other quality data. Conducts investigations of the operation of a licensed laboratory upon receiving a complaint or of an unlicensed laboratory performing compliance testing.
