Consults with supervisor on budget needs, oversees the management of contracts and monitors expenditures. The Operations Administrator executes and supervises complex advanced technical work. Develops and oversees processes and best practices for reporting cancer incidence cases, while assessing the effectiveness of the Unit. This position ensures all mandated facilities comply with state statutes and regulations that govern program standards regarding timeliness and accuracy while maintaining partnerships. Provides technical assistance to staff and reporters and interprets regulations. Engages with federal partners, ensures compliance with federal grant operational measures, contributes to progress reports and assists in the development of grants and funding proposals. Serves as a subject matter expert on incoming data requirements and various software tools utilized for electronic reporting, facilitating onboarding of new facility reporting through electronic methods. The Operations Administrator collaborates closely with the registry epidemiologist(s), the QA Administrator and other staff in the Department to advise on cancer surveillance data.
