• Staff the Governor’s Youth Commission (GYC), including facilitation of the application process, selection of candidates, onboarding and training for commissioners
• Facilitate GYC workgroup, executive committee, and quarterly meetings in coordination with the chairs, which can include working some evenings and/or weekends
• Assists AmeriCorps Director in the planning and coordination of the annual Summit on Volunteerism and Civic Engagement, Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards, and other events as applicable to ensure the youth voice is represented
• Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop goals and objectives in the areas of youth leadership and civic engagement for inclusion in the Arizona State service plan
• Participate in meetings, conferences, seminars, training, and conference calls as necessary, which could include in-state and out-of-state travel
• Develop and support the implementation of Arizona Management System (AMS) metrics & standards throughout all areas
• Serves as staff for workgroups of the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism as needed
• Assist in identifying statewide gaps & support initiatives related to the Arizona for Everyone priorities
• The position may require some travel
• Assist with onboarding new staff
• All other duties as assigned

Minimum:
• Minimum Bachelor’s (BA or BS) degree in Educational Leadership, Youth Development, Non-profit or Volunteer Management, Social Work, or a closely related field
• 3 years of experience interpreting federal and state requirements, monitoring compliance, and managing grants overall
Preferred:
• Direct experience with managing AmeriCorps grants/subgrants, state and federal contracts and grants, award regulations and principles, and government procurement procedures
• Experience in contract monitoring, including federal and state funding streams
• Ability to possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License and operate a motor vehicle
• Ability to pass a background check performed by Arizona Department of Public Safety
• Ability to maintain a clean driving record
