Grants Reservist II PHOENIX
The Grants Reservist II position serves in a part-time, on-call, as-needed position. The position executes various financial and cost auditing functions, including grant coordination, managing program processes and procedures, overseeing federal and state program funds, and performing related tasks as needed. The role requires collaboration with agency staff and coordination with federal, state, local, and tribal agencies to design, develop, modify, and implement agency projects and programs. Key responsibilities include assessing the feasibility and goals of programs, developing effective monitoring and evaluation procedures for both new and ongoing initiatives to ensure program compliance and integrity, and consulting with relevant personnel about program goals, objectives, accountability, and service delivery. Additionally, the position involves assisting in the preparation of funding proposals, grant applications, and fiscal controls, as well as developing operating procedures, plans, and manuals. The role also requires interpreting federal and state regulations that govern programs and may include representing the agency at meetings with other governmental entities and various community groups. The employee will be responsible for preparing a variety of technical reports and processing reimbursement requests in accordance with grant guidelines to ensure timely payment. Prepares for immediate, around-the-clock response and no-notice recall to the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), the Alternate Emergency Operations Center, and/or the Joint Field Office (JFO) during disaster activations or drills/exercises. Engages in training for designated SEOC positions and executes assigned responsibilities in alignment with internal agency policy. Actively participates in promoting a continuous improvement of workplace culture, through the use of teamwork, root cause problem solving, standard operating procedures, and review of performance metrics.
