This position reports to the Technological Hazards Branch Manager/Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) Program Manager. This position also guides and supports two Radiological Emergency Preparedness Coordinators that support all off-site operations. This position is also responsible for supporting the REP Program Manager in the administration of the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program for the Division. Also provides support in developing, implementing, and maintaining emergency response and recovery capabilities for a major incident at a commercial nuclear power plant. Provides support for the development, implementation and maintenance of the State of Arizona/Maricopa County Emergency Response Plan for the Palo Verde Generating Station. Actively participates in promoting a continuous improvement workplace culture, through the use of teamwork, root cause problem solving, standard operating procedures, and review of performance metrics.

DISASTER RECOVERY COORDINATOR 1-OPERATIONS RESERVIST PHOENIX
The Disaster Reservist is a part-time, as needed position. Personnel either occupying these positions or hired for these positions are available to provide project support, act as additional /supplemental staff in the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) during activation of the Primary or Alternate SEOC for an incident, event, or exercise. This position provides the agency with the flexibility to expand and provide staffing levels to best meet mission requirements based upon the situation. Disaster Reservists are utilized to support any branch/section within the Arizona Division of Emergency Management, and it is imperative they can work effectively in high stress environments and potentially adverse conditions during field deployments. The Disaster Reservist Coordinator I (DRC 1) will deploy to act as liaison between the SEOC and county/local Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) and or Incident Command Posts (ICP) to support intelligence gathering in the field and support policy decisions to mitigate the effects of the disaster. The primary function of this position is to facilitate effective communication and coordination between the SEOC, county/local EOC and the ICP. The DRC 1 is required to have and maintain a working knowledge of assessing disaster effects, information gathering, incident command systems, incident action planning and safety procedures, and must have highly effective verbal and written communications skills. Actively participates in promoting a continuous improvement of workplace culture, through the use of teamwork, root cause problem solving, standard operating procedures, and review of performance metrics.
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNER PHOENIX
The Emergency Management Planner leads and assists with statewide emergency planning efforts. The Planner also provides technical assistance to support county, state, and tribal partners' emergency management planning efforts. This role includes assisting in using emergency management planning software or technologies by providing technical planning support to statewide partners. They will also co-lead or support statewide projects such as the State Emergency Response and Recovery Plan (SERRP), Threat and Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (THIRA), statewide COOP initiatives, and Emergency Operation Plans (EOPs). The position works collaboratively with other branches, offering guidance and ensuring that state-level planning efforts are aligned and on track. Completes preparedness-related projects and assists in developing innovative pilot programs as assigned by the Planning Branch Manager. The role also actively participates in professional development activities, including attending state and national meetings and fulfilling Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) requirements. The Planner will also complete internal training requirements and develop and host presentations for county, state, and federal stakeholders at meetings, seminars, and conferences related to Emergency Management.
PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER 4 PHOENIX
The Public Information Officer (PIO) 4 is experienced in the principles and practices used in public information and communication (e.g., journalism, public relations, social marketing, and public affairs). Under the supervision of the DEMA Deputy Director, this position leads the development, interpretation, and implementation of public information and marketing policies, standards, and procedures (PSPs). The PIO 4 also oversees the marketing of DEMA brands, programs, and activities during emergency and "steady-state" operations. This position is the primary point of contact and coordination for the Governor's Communication Office; coordinates with DEMA PIO (Public Information Officer) partners at all emergency management phases to ensure proportionate situational information awareness; confers with the DEMA Deputy Director on matters of public information/relations/affairs procedure and enactment; represents PIO interests at policy-level meetings and deliberations, and in the development of (inter)agency PSPs; and quality assures the work of the PIO office, including staff interactions with the public and media. Responsibilities also include the preparation of news releases, speeches, talking points, presentations, photographs, new media content, and publications (e.g., brochures, newsletters, and manuals); preparing and delivering speeches/presentations to interested groups; supervising all media relations; arranging subject matter expert interviews with reporters; overseeing outreach and marketing strategies and tactics; identifying opportunities to raise awareness of Department activities among stakeholders; arranging public appearances to promote the Department's range of activities and expertise; managing conference and convention preparations; coordinating tours for visitors; serving as spokesperson during exercises, trainings, and activations; supervising the External Affairs and Public Inquiry functions; and other duties as assigned. The PIO 4 also administers the Arizona Emergency Information Network (AzEIN.gov), including the Emergency Bulletin System and accessory social media accounts. AzEIN provides near real-time emergency information and is updated 24/7/365 by a rotating "on-call" PIO, putting PIOs in frequent verbal and written communication with agency personnel, stakeholder PIOs, and the Governor's office. The position will travel in- and out-of-state for training and fulfillment of operational position opportunities. COMPLIANCE SAFETY HEALTH OFFICER PHOENIX
We are currently looking for an individual to join our Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) team, which is tasked with conducting scheduled visits and on-site training for employers throughout Arizona. By working with employers collaboratively, we build a relationship where questions can be asked without fear. The position is responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling and completing ADOSH consultation visits at the request of any employer within the Division’s jurisdiction. During the visit the Consultant will conduct a walk around inspection to gain knowledge of the hazards within the workplace and interview employees to determine the degree of management involvement with the hazards noted. The visit requires an opening conference, walk around, inspection and closing conference as would be part of the ADOSH compliance inspection. Lastly, review of employer’s safety and health programs and recommended upgrades according to the most recent OSHA standard.

The ICA Mail Room provides mail service to several building tenants and other state agencies. It processes approximately 25000 pieces of inbound/outbound mail (US Mail & FedEx Mail) a month for the ICA tenants and state agencies. This position will sort inbound mail, prepare tracking sheets for signature mail as needed, participate in security screening of mail when needed, load vehicle and deliver and collect mail on an assigned several mail routes daily, prepare outbound mail on a folder / inserter on a needed basis, process outbound mail through postage meter or shipping software and prepare for various postage and package delivery vendor pickups. This position will operate various printers for the printing jobs for folding & inserting, print electronic certified postage and the print letters for claimants. It will operate a large document scanner for purpose of scanning inbound mail & document archival. It will also interact with ICA mail room customers directly or over the phone for general mail room questions.
