The Department of Economic Security, Office of Professional Development, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Training Officer 2 (Instructional Designer). The Training Officer 2 is responsible for the development of an agency-wide training curriculum for delivery to Department employees. The position designs, develops, implements, revises, and evaluates courseware that meets both training industry and Department standards and any identified performance goals or business objectives. This position collaborates with Department leadership regarding employee training, development, and accomplishments, and coordinates computer-based training as needed, including outreach or special events. This position identifies training needs on an ongoing basis through assessments, surveys, and meetings with work groups, consulting with systems business analysts and Department policy staff, and conducts interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) on organizational requirements and performance measures. Additionally, this position assesses present and future needs to develop educational goals and objectives, initiates related curriculum, instructor guides, reports, and correspondence, and prepares audio and visual materials related to the assigned training areas.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
