Adjunct Instructor - Music (Trumpet Instruction) LCC Downtown Campus
The Music Program at Lansing Community College is seeking adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach Applied and Private Lessons for Trumpet students. Faculty may have the opportunity to teach other courses in the Music Program. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and College initiatives. Participate in student assessment initiatives within the program and college, and implement the determinations of those initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as, work effectively in a team-based environment while seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.
FT Admin - HR Benefits Coordinator LCC Downtown Campus
The HR Benefits Coordinator serves as the primary resource for employees on all benefits-related matters, including health, retirement, and tuition waiver programs. This role manages employee benefits enrollments, changes, and cancellations, maintains HR systems and portal content, and ensures compliance with COBRA, ACA, FMLA, and other applicable laws and regulations. The Benefit Coordinator also supports payroll accuracy, administers leaves of absence and accommodations, and collaborates with the Purchasing Department to maintain employee discounts and perks. Additionally, the position develops and delivers benefit communications, orientations, and resources to keep employees informed and engaged. The Benefit Coordinator evaluates and recommends process improvements, resolves system issues, and cross-trains within the HR department to provide coverage and support as needed. In collaboration with the HR Director of Total Compensation, the role administers retirement benefits, provides guidance on retirement elections and applications, and facilitates retirement orientations. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant administration of employee benefits and related programs. Incumbents must have a demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. This position is part of a four-person total compensation team with a two-person focus on benefits. An on-campus presence, 5 days/week is required.
Student Employee - Transfer Center LCC Downtown Campus
Student employees in the Transfer Center will assist with providing excellent customer service and support for representatives, faculty, staff and students from partnering universities and Lansing Community College. Additionally, they will assist and support the Transfer Center’s front desk, facilities, and offices.
FT Admin - Labor Relations Administrator LCC Downtown Campus
The Labor Relations Administrator will be an active participate in and advise the negotiations of Collective Bargaining Agreements as well as Grievance processes at all levels. Electrical Technology Adjunct Instructors must be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate knowledge of specific technical skills within both the lab and classroom environment to a diverse student population. The successful candidate will be responsible for the instruction of Electrical Technology courses in one or more of the following areas depending upon qualifications: DC Theory, AC Theory (single phase and three-phase), Industrial Solid State Theory, Motors and Transformers, Motor Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, Safety—including OSHA and NEC 70E, National Electrical Code, Residential Electrical Wiring and Low-voltage Wiring—including networking and Machine Vision Systems.
Adjunct Instructor - Electrical/Industrial/Construction Safety LCC West
Lansing Community College's Technical Careers Division seek an Adjunct Instructor for their Electrical/Industrial/Construction Safety Program. Several disciplines in the Trades Technology Department, including the Electrical Technology Program (ELTE), share a 100-level course in Industrial/Construction Safety. This course covers safety in the industrial workplace and on construction worksites and local, state and federal safety regulations. The focus of the course is on the prevention of accidents, but it also teaches the correct response if an accident should occur. First aid, CPR/AED and OSHA-30 certificates will be issued to students upon successful completion of the course.
Adjunct Instructor - Biology LCC Downtown Campus
Adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach courses in Biology. Depending upon program needs and the candidate’s qualifications, teaching assignments will be on LCC’s downtown Lansing campus.
