Job Summary/Basic Function
• Oversee and award Non-Traditional HOPE Scholarships to qualified students
• Provide technical support for Tennessee Educational Lottery Scholarships (TELS) and other scholarship programs
• As needed, work with the Financial Aid Coordinator who manages the TELS Program by assisting with the awarding of Tennessee Educational Lottery Scholarships (TELS) to qualified students
• Process miscellaneous state scholarships & award to qualified students
• Resolve overawards, provide expert guidance to the MT One Stop, and assist with coverage of the MT OneStop as needed
Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, business administration or a closely related area
Note: A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) and 5 years directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's degree
Required Related Experience
• One (1) year of scholarship or financial aid experience or (2) two years of progressive experience in a customer service environment.
Desirable Related Experience
• Prior experience in processing institutional / state scholarship programs and working knowledge of Banner preferred.
• Experience working with Banner software and Tennessee Mod 35
• Experience working within the TSAC FAST database
• Experience writing SQL scripts / Argos Reports
