Job Summary/Basic Function
The School of Music at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position at the rank of lecturer to conduct choral ensembles and teach undergraduate music courses to fulfill the school's needs. This is a one-year temporary appointment. The contract may be renewed annually based on available funding, demonstrated need, and satisfactory performance as assessed by annual evaluations. The start date for the appointment is August 1, 2025.
Required Education
A master of music or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
Other Desirables
Applicants with a terminal degree in music or a closely related field, experience conducting collegiate choral ensembles, and experience teaching collegiate coursework in music education, music theory, musicology, or conducting will receive special consideration.
