Strategic Communications Specialist Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Reporting to the Dean of the Honors College, the Strategic Communications Specialist is a member of the Honors College administrative staff and is responsible for all communications for the college. The specialist works with internal and external constituencies to create and maintain engagement with prospective and current students, faculty, alumni, the university, and the community. The specialist provides student editorial staff oversight and advising for student publications Collage, a nationally award-winning magazine, and Scientia et Humanitas. The strategist is also editor of the Honors College’s news magazine, Arete, which has been recognized for excellence by the National Collegiate Honors Council. Other duties include: social media management and digital content creation; long-range planning; creative and production timelines; message development; collaboration with external stakeholders, internal leadership, and team members; and serving as the college’s marketing liaison with university marketing.
Lead Bus Driver Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Drive shuttle bus to transport students, employees, and visitors around the campus of MTSU. Transport students, employees, and visitors to off-campus events as assigned. Organize and facilitate the scheduling of driver breaks during 2nd shift. Communicate personnel issues to bus supervisor. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and determine necessary repairs and communicate information to bus mechanic. Provide scheduling assistance for bus maintenance tasks. Work with mechanic to perform regen functions on diesel buses using manufacturer software and perform programming functions on mobile app. Keep accurate ridership and maintenance records. Assist with training of new drivers. Serve as main contact for 2nd shift drivers after supervisors shift. Perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned. Dual Enrollment Coordinator Murfreesboro, Tennessee
The dual enrollment coordinator serves as comprehensive support for the dual enrollment program and partner schools. The position will report directly to the Director of the dual enrollment program and is responsible for recruitment and advising the dual enrolled population. The Director of WMOT Development manages all aspects of listener support efforts, including the planning and execution of on-air drives, renewal letter campaigns and communications. Coordinator-Tn Miller Coliseum Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Serve as a member of the Tennessee Miller Coliseum (TMC) workforce responsible for maintaining the condition of the facilities and premises that include the set up and break down for events held at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum. Essential duties include: operate heavy equipment that include: a skid steer loader, tractor, dump truck, mowing equipment, etc.; providing leadership and supervision for student and temporary employees; performing manual labor to pick up trash, empty trash cans, clean stall, assemble/dismantle corral panels and staging, and performing general lawn and landscape maintenance tasks. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the TMC during events and facilitating events by assigning event managers with shavings deliveries, arena footing preparation and maintenance, setup and break down of panels, stalls, staging, assisting vendors, and performing other related tasks as assigned. Extended night and or weekend hours required.
