The Diesel Technology Instructor will prepare individuals for employment in the field of diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair. The instructor will provide specialized classroom instruction and practical shop experience to prepare individuals to engage in the service and maintenance of all types of diesel-powered equipment at the entry level. The instructor will prepare individuals to select, safely use, and maintain hand and power tools, jacks, and hoisting equipment. Other topics include the diagnostics of malfunctions and the repair of engines; fuel, electrical, cooling, HVAC systems, and brake systems; and drive train and suspension systems. |
