| Louisiana Delta Community College seeks an instructor to teach students in the Diesel-Powered Equipment Technology program. The Diesel Technology Instructor will prepare individuals for employment in the field of diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair. The instructor will provide specialized classroom instruction and practical shop experience to prepare individuals to engage in the service and maintenance of all types of diesel-powered equipment at the entry level. The instructor will prepare individuals to select, safely use, and maintain hand and power tools, jacks, and hoisting equipment. Other topics include the diagnostics of malfunctions and the repair of engines; fuel, electrical, cooling, HVAC systems, and brake systems; and drive train and suspension systems. |

| Teach or instruct vocational or occupational subjects at the postsecondary level (but at less than the baccalaureate) to students who have graduated high school or earned a GED. Conducts college-level courses in the field of nursing education. Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, leading and moderating classroom discussions, and administering and grading examinations. Demonstrates and teaches patient care in classroom and clinical units to nursing students.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. |
