Instructor - Drafting and Design Technology	SOWELA	Lake Charles, LA
The Drafting and Design Technology Department is looking for a full-time Drafting Instructor to teach board drafting classes and AutoCAD in face-to-face and/or hybrid classes on the Main Campus in Lake Charles. This full-time 9-month position reports to the Dean of the School of Business and Applied Technology, and is responsible for creating an engaging learning environment, assessing student learning, maintaining accurate grade and attendance records, maintaining individual student progress data and ensuring this is a part of the student’s permanent record, while adhering to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records. The successful candidate will be a content expert in the field of drafting and design, who relies on experience and judgment to plan courses, lessons, and projects that will prepare students for the workforce as a draftsman. This individual will be willing to participate in professional development activities and stay current in technological and/or pedagogical advances that promote student learning.
NEMSA Coordinator (North Louisiana)	South Louisiana Community College	Monroe, LA
The NEMSA Coordinator reports to the Assistant Dean of Allied Health, providing prospective, current, and continuing students with access and connectivity to all academic and student services at South Louisiana Community College. This role supports travel to job fairs, workforce recruiting events, secondary schools, and other appropriate recruitment events. The incumbent must have excellent customer service, communication, and technological skills in order to be effective at conveying information to applicants, community members, and the College Community. This position requires collaboration with National EMS Academy personnel and South Louisiana Community College Allied Health academic department as well as travel to regional areas for recruiting students. Travel to National EMS Academy sites and South Louisiana Community College campus is occasionally required. Provides outstanding service to students, internal, and external stakeholders. Serves as the NEMSA intake coordinator and assists students in all steps of the intake process: application, management of advising holds, and registration. The Coordinator assists students at all advising sessions and orientation dates – assisting students navigating application and registration errors.
