What You'll Do:
• Lead outreach and intake for E2G-eligible small manufacturers, including pop-up eligibility screenings at port facilities, chamber meetings, and industry events.
• Verify each business’s E2G eligibility at intake (self-certification, SBA HUBZone map, Dynamic Small Business Search) and maintain eligibility documentation.
• Operate the day-to-day partner referral network with economic development agencies, SBDC, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and prime contractors’ procurement offices to identify and refer eligible firms.
• Administer participant data collection: business profiles at intake and six- and twelve-month follow-up surveys capturing required NOFO Section 5.2.3 data elements.
• Maintain the participant tracking system and prepare data summaries for quarterly performance reports.
• Coordinate placement of trained, credentialed workers with participating E2G-eligible employers.
• Collect and summarize participant feedback after bootcamp cohorts, accelerated certification sessions, and Admin Prep Academy modules to inform program improvement.
• Support recruitment of bootcamp trainees through college programs, alumni networks, the workforce board, and participating businesses.
• Coordinate WorkReadyU English-language and basic-skills wrap-around services for participants with limited English proficiency.
• Participate in program and college events, meetings, professional development, and committee service as needed.
• Uphold a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment for participants, employers, and partners.
Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, workforce development, social sciences, communications, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience in workforce development, case management, business services, community outreach, or a related role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with business owners, workers, and community partners.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; experience maintaining records and collecting data accurately.
• Proficiency with standard office and data-tracking software.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and meet reporting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with small businesses, manufacturers, or the marine/shipbuilding sector.
• Familiarity with SBA programs, federal contracting, or HUBZone and other small business certifications.
• Knowledge of the southeast Louisiana business community.
• Bilingual ability (e.g., English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese) to serve the region’s limited-English-proficiency business population.
