The Assistant Professor of Nursing is responsible for providing high-quality instruction, clinical supervision, student advising, and academic support within the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program at Louisiana Delta Community College. The faculty member develops and delivers classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical learning experiences that promote student success and preparation for the NCLEX-RN examination. This position participates in curriculum development, program assessment, accreditation activities, recruitment, retention initiatives, committee work, and other departmental responsibilities while supporting the mission and strategic goals of the College. Faculty are expected to maintain professional competence, foster a positive learning environment, and uphold the standards established by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN), ACEN, and Louisiana Delta Community College.
Instructor - Simulation/Skills Lab Coordinator	SOWELA	Lake Charles, LA
The Simulation/Skills Lab Coordinator Nursing Faculty is responsible for teaching professional nursing courses at the postsecondary level (but at less than the baccalaureate). Accountable for planning, developing, maintaining, and effectively implementing the day-to-day operations of the nursing and allied health simulation and skills laboratories to provide students with quality instruction and a safe learning environment. Facilitate student advancement from performance of basic nursing skills to resolution of simple to complex patient care situation via low, moderate, and high-fidelity simulation. Direct, manage, and evaluate student learning in the simulation and skills laboratory. Responsible for preparing and delivering skills lab and high-fidelity simulations, leading and moderating lab/debriefing discussions, facilitating activities and communication, and administering and grading lab and simulation assignments. Demonstrate and teach patient care techniques in the skills labs, simulation laboratories, and clinical sites (on occasion) to nursing students. Position is an expert in nursing practices with knowledge of professional scope and standards of practice. Able to rely on evidence-based practice guidelines to plan and accomplish teaching goals. May lead and direct the work of others. Works with all Nursing and Allied Health programs. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Adjunct Faculty – Medical Assistant	BRCC	Baton Rouge, LA
Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Medical Assistant within the Nursing and Allied Health Division. This is a part-time position. The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting instructional and programmatic activities as assigned while fostering a positive and collegial learning environment. Part-time employees are expected to uphold the College’s mission, vision, and values, and to comply with the Faculty Handbook and all applicable college policies and procedures. This position reports directly to the Department Chair within the Nursing and Allied Health Division.
