Custodian 3 is a classified position focused on executing advanced custodial tasks to ensure cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and overall appearance of SOWELA buildings, facilities, and grounds. This position provides guidance and training to junior custodial staff to uphold high standards of facility upkeep. Responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and disinfecting all areas of a facility. Perform basic cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance of an assigned building and associated grounds including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, trash removal, etc.

This position serves from within the School of Industrial Technology as a representative exhibiting positive and professional attributes of collegiate instruction in the eyes of faculty, staff, students and the local community. The primary role of each instructor at SOWELA Technical Community College is to teach in discipline areas in which the instructor has specific training and competence. As such, the instructor is expected to plan, organize, and teach in a manner that encourages collaborative teamwork and ethical values aligning with the school’s mission, vision and institutional values. The position also promotes and directs successful student learning in keeping with the learning centered values and strategic goals of SOWELA Technical Community College.

The ASN Nursing Faculty is responsible for teaching professional nursing courses at the postsecondary level (but at less than the baccalaureate) to students who have graduated high school or earned a GED. Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, leading and moderating classroom discussions, facilitating online activities and communication, and administering and grading examinations and assignments. Demonstrates and teaches patient care techniques in the classroom, simulation laboratory, and clinical sites to nursing students. Position is an expert in nursing practices with knowledge of professional scope and standards of practice. Able to rely on evidence-based practice guidelines to plan and accomplish teaching goals. May lead and direct the work of others. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Instructor - Respiratory Care/Director Clinical Education	SOWELA	Lake Charles, LA
The Instructor of Respiratory Care/Clinical Education Director manages the programs clinical activities and teaches in the Respiratory Care Program at the postsecondary level (but less than the baccalaureate) to students who have graduated high school or earned a GED. The incumbent will work with the Program Director to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, the delivery of a high-quality curriculum, and the effective preparation of students for careers in respiratory care. The individual will participate in curriculum development/revision and provide didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction. The person is a subject matter expert in Respiratory Therapy. Able to rely on evidence-based practice guidelines to plan and accomplish teaching goals. May lead and direct the work of others. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
