Training and Workforce Development Manager - Construction/Craft Skills	BRCC	Baton Rouge, LA
The Training and Workforce Development Manager in Construction/Craft Skills is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training programs that prepare students for careers in the Construction/Craft Skills industry. This role focuses on collaborating with industry partners, developing industry-based credential (IBC) programs, and ensuring that students receive the training necessary to meet the demands of the evolving construction/Craft Skills workforce. The specialist will work closely with the Dean of Technical Education to align programs with the college’s academic and workforce goals.
Instructor Practical Nursing	BRCC	Baton Rouge, LA
Nursing faculty are responsible for teaching courses as assigned, student advising, college service, professional development and promotion of collegial atmosphere. Faculty are expected to support the institution’s mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Faculty report directly to program managers and department chairs within their respective departments and divisions. This position will monitor students in the clinical areas, teach theory in classroom, and demonstrate clinical skills in the simulation laboratory. Additional responsibilities include assessing courses, serving on college committees, participating in extracurricular activities, community service, and professional development. Faculty may be required to teach evenings and weekends as well as on-line, dual enrollment, and service-learning courses.

The primary role of each instructor at SOWELA Technical Community College is to teach in discipline areas in which the instructor has specific training and competence. As such, the instructor is expected to plan, organize, and teach in a manner that encourages collaborative teamwork and ethical values aligning with the school’s mission, vision and institutional values. The position also promotes and directs successful student learning in keeping with the learning centered values and strategic goals of SOWELA Technical Community College.
Adjunct Instructor - Flood Mitigation/Program Coordinator	SOWELA	Lake Charles, LA
The Flood Mitigation Program Coordinator and Instructor is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and delivery of a specialized workforce training program focused on teaching students how to elevate existing structures to mitigate flood damage. This role will begin as a co-instructor as part of a train-the-trainer model, eventually transitioning into the primary instructor and full program manager. The Coordinator will ensure program alignment with industry standards, safety regulations, and instructional best practices.
