Adjunct Instructor - Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation (Jennings)	SOWELA	Jennings, LA
This position serves from within the School of Industrial Technology as a representative exhibiting positive and professional attributes of collegiate instruction in the eyes of faculty, staff, students and the local community. The primary role of each instructor at SOWELA Technical Community College is to teach in discipline areas in which the instructor has specific training and competence. As such, the instructor is expected to plan, organize, and teach in a manner that encourages collaborative teamwork and ethical values aligning with the school’s mission, vision and institutional values. The position also promotes and directs successful student learning in keeping with the learning centered values and strategic goals of SOWELA Technical Community College.
Instructor - Accounting	SOWELA	Lake Charles, LA
This is a full-time, nine-month position. The School of Business and Applied Technology offers an AAS in Accounting. The Instructor – Accounting conducts college-level, transferrable courses in the discipline area of accounting while developing and designing curriculum plans that foster learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement. This Instructor is responsible for preparing and delivering lectures online, on-ground, and/or in hybrid situations, creating a learning environment, and assessing student learning. The Instructor – Accounting maintains accurate grade and attendance records, and individual student progress data, and ensures this is a part of the student’s permanent record; adheres to all laws about disclosure of student records; posts at the office and on the syllabus, on-campus and/or virtual hours to facilitate interaction with students, other faculty, staff administrators, and the public. The Instructor – Accounting must be available to students via email, phone, and/or in-person conference, and may mentor other staff or students. The teaching load for Instructor – Accounting is 15 credit hours. Overload courses may be available. The Instructor – Accounting is knowledgeable and familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of tasks. The Instructor – Accounting may lead and direct the work of others; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position engages in professional development and stays current in technological and/or pedagogical advances that promote student learning.

Teach college-level psychology courses. Prepare and deliver lectures, moderate classroom discussions and administer and grade examinations. Maintain accurate grade and attendance records. Adhere to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records. Be available to students via email, phone and/or in person conference. Receives training or stays current in technological or pedagogical advances that promote student learning.

Louisiana Delta Community College is seeking a creative and effective faculty member to plan, develop, and use effective teaching methods and materials to help students meet course objectives in the discipline of Biological Sciences. This faculty position will be responsible for teaching general biology courses for science majors and non-science majors. The sub-disciplines Human Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, and Zoology fall within the responsibilities of biology faculty. Faculty must also be able to effectively instruct students using a variety of techniques and evaluate student success for program assessments. The adjunct position is responsible for teaching biological science courses at the Ruston, LA campus. Position Available – January 2026 – Adjunct Instructor at the Ruston campus. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Salary for academic courses: $675 per credit hour
