| The Corporate College Carpentry Instructor is responsible for providing classroom instruction and practical shop experience to prepare students for employment in a variety of jobs in the field Carpentry. The instructor will teach courses related to the core skills used by carpenters in residential and commercial settings. Topics include safety, hand/power tool use, site preparation, measurement and layout, footings and foundation, construction framing, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures made of wood, building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters; wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors. |
