| The Chief Flight Instructor manages and oversees all flight training operations within SOWELA Technical Community College’s 14 CFR Part 61 and 141 flight programs. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of flight instruction, safety, compliance, and student success. The Chief Flight Instructor assists in supervising flight instructors, conducting evaluations, ensuring adherence to FAA and institutional standards, and providing direct flight and ground instruction to students pursuing Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Instructor certificates and ratings. This position contributes to SOWELA’s mission to cultivate a highly skilled aviation workforce for Southwest Louisiana and supports the College’s Strategic Plan priorities of Workforce Development, Adult Learners, and Special Populations. |

| The Workforce MVI Challenge Station-Automotive Technician reports directly to the Dean of Technical Studies and Adult Education. The technician is responsible for testing vehicle emissions for residents in the five LDEQ service areas and will assist with testing procedures for motor vehicle inspection station personnel using the emissions inspection software. The technician will also be responsible for the day-to-day operation, including scheduling appointments, testing vehicles, reporting test outcomes and providing excellent customer service. |
