Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Provides instructional leadership for faculty and college administrators.
• Facilitates strategic data collection and analysis to support academic planning, instructional program evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Oversees the development and implementation of program review processes, student learning outcomes assessment, and accreditation-related instructional reporting.
• Leads initiatives related to enrollment management, academic scheduling, catalog development, and curricular innovation — including distance and online learning.
• Promotes faculty excellence through recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and evaluation in alignment with institutional priorities.
• Partners with Student Services to ensure cohesive and integrated student support structures that enhance academic experiences.
• Supports strong partnerships with business and industry to ensure career and technical education (CTE) programs are responsive to workforce needs.
• Supports college collaboration with K-12 and postsecondary institutions to expand dual enrollment, articulation agreements, and student transition pathways.
• Ensures compliance with the following where applicable: SACSCOC, other programmatic accreditors, state and federal agencies, LCTCS, college regulations, policies, and procedures related to instruction.
• Assist and support attainment of annual enrollment goals which align with the college’s strategic plan and the LCTCS 2030 goals.
• Creates required reports, including instructional budgets, planning documents.
• Serves as an institutional representative on matters related to instruction and curriculum at internal and external meetings.
• Fosters a culture of trust, shared governance, and continuous improvement across academic units.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education: 

Master's degree in a related area. Progressively responsible administrative experience in a post-secondary educational setting. Experience in administration of academic and/or technical training programming is essential, as is classroom experience as a faculty member.

The successful candidate should possess a strong record of leadership. The ability to understand, analyze, and utilize pertinent data for strategic decision-making is essential. respect. Successful experience in the use of emerging technologies to facilitate learning is critical. Online learning and distance learning technologies are important tools in the College's present efforts and will continue to play an essential role in its future.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience with integrated databases; particularly Banner.
• Experience working within the Louisiana Community and Technical College System.
• Familiarity with Louisiana’s higher education policy landscape and LCTCS governance.
• A doctoral degree is preferred.
