Full Time Faculty: Electrical Instructor	South Louisiana Community College	Crowley, LA
Electrical Instructors are responsible for providing instruction and performing lab related activities for the Electrical program. Instructors will follow state approved course syllabi for each area of instruction. Instructors are also responsible for maintaining accurate academic records in a computerized learning management system. These records include attendance, grades and class/course syllabi for each class taught.

Maintains individual student progress data and ensures this is a part of the student’s permanent record. Adheres to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks related to instruction, lab projects, and training. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Receives training or stays current in clinical training advances that promote student learning.

The Instructor of Welding Technology is responsible for classroom and lab instruction in various welding courses and assists in constructing degree/certification programs and updating current curriculum; providing quality instruction for a diverse student population; performing instructional duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, mission, policies, and procedures of the college. Design and develop training programs.

The CDL instructor will report to the Workforce Director of Operations. The CDL instructor provides classroom instruction and behind the wheel training at one of the four SOWELA locations in preparation for the Commercial Driver's License (Class A) examination. In addition to providing professional supervised training to new and existing drivers, this role is responsible for implementing safety and compliance measures according to Federal Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and procedures.
