At the Edward Brooke Courthouse, we're looking for a reliable Custodian to join the Facilities Management team and take pride in the spaces where important work happens every day. What You'll Be Doing Cleaning and maintaining offices, courtrooms, bathrooms, and common areas to a consistent standard Removing refuse and managing waste disposal across the facility Mowing lawns and shovelling snow to keep the grounds safe and accessible in all seasons Supporting the broader Facilities team with general maintenance tasks as they arise What You'll Bring Experience in a custodial, cleaning, or facilities role — commercial or institutional settings are a plus Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, shovelling, and operating groundskeeping equipment Reliability and attention to detail, with a consistent approach to maintaining standards A cooperative attitude and willingness to pitch in across tasks as the team's needs shift Comfort working independently as well as alongside a small, coordinated crew Ability to work within the conduct and access standards required in a Massachusetts Trial Court environment

The Massachusetts Trial Court's Office of Court Management is seeking a senior facilities professional to step into a leadership role that directly shapes the physical environments where justice is served across the Commonwealth. As Deputy Director of Facilities Management and Capital Planning, you will work alongside the Director to oversee one of the most operationally complex public-sector portfolios in Massachusetts. Scope & Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management and Capital Planning, you will hold broad operational and strategic accountability across Commonwealth-owned courthouses statewide. Core responsibilities include: Directing day-to-day facilities operations including maintenance, custodial services, snow removal, utilities procurement, and logistics for supplies and equipment Leading departmental programs in Environmental Health and Safety, Deferred Maintenance, Accelerated Energy Initiatives, and Sustainability Overseeing the administration of contracts and managing the delivery of small and capital projects from planning through completion Supervising facilities support staff, conducting periodic process reviews, and ensuring procedural compliance across the department

What You'll Be Doing Install, repair, alter, and maintain HVAC equipment and systems throughout MTC's Worcester facility Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and building infrastructure to support uninterrupted operations Use the central building insight system (BAS/BMS) to monitor facility conditions, log work orders, and prioritize maintenance needs Identify safety hazards and escalate or resolve issues in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
