Position Summary: This posting is for an intern in the Administrative Office of the Juvenile Court (AOJC). The intern will be responsible for assisting the AOJC with the creation, formatting and editing of training materials and Juvenile Court forms for Juvenile Court judges and staff. The intern will work with staff of the AOJC and under the supervision of the Assistant Deputy Court Administrator. Though the intern will have an opportunity to visit court and observe court proceedings, the internship is in an office setting, outside of a courthouse.

 

Duties:

  • Assist in the creation, formatting and editing of training materials for Juvenile Court judges and staff.
  • Assist in formatting and editing of Juvenile Court forms.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Experience and knowledge in the use of personal computers and programs/software such as Adobe PDF, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, prioritize and complete simultaneous assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and otherwise complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a professional setting, including judges, managers and court staff.
