| The Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is seeking a Chief for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. The successful candidate will be a recognized leader in pediatric cardiology and will be responsible for the supervision and development of clinical services, education, and research activities for members of the Division, both within the Department of Pediatrics and other relevant areas of the Stanford School of Medicine, the Stanford Health Care system including Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford (LPCHS), and its partner sites. The Chief of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology will also be appointed as the Director of the Betty Irene Moore Children’s Heart Center. The Director works alongside the cardiothoracic surgeon Executive Director and the LPCHS Executive Administrative Director to lead the Heart Center. Appointment will be at the level of Associate or Full Professor and will occur either within the University Tenure Line or University Medical Line. |

There is a programmatic need to recruit a cardiothoracic surgeon with expertise in these areas to join the Stanford faculty in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford University as an Assistant Professor in
the University Medical Line at the Palo Alto VA. There will be robust opportunity to participate
in thoracic aortic surgery, valvular surgery, and other subspecialty areas in adult cardiovascular
surgery at the Palo Alto VA. There will be occasional clinical coverage responsibilities at the
Stanford main campus and at other Stanford-affiliated sites. |
