Job Title: CCTV Technician
Base Location: Newquay- to Cover Cornwall
Salary: Up to £38,978 depending on skills and experience, additional call out payments and standby allowance plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday – Friday 8am-4pm. [37 hrs] Overtime there for those who want it
Enerveo has an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and Ireland and through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all.
Could you be our next CCTV Technican to join the team and drive this success forwards?
What will I be doing in this role?
We’re looking for a skilled CCTV Technician to join our team – ideally someone with hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and fault-finding of CCTV systems. You’ll be part of Cornwall’s biggest contracting business, helping to keep local communities connected and safe.
We’re also open to applications from qualified Electricians who want to broaden their skills and take on something a little different. If you’re used to working on domestic or commercial projects and fancy a change of scene - this could be the perfect next step.
At Enerveo in Cornwall, we look after street lighting, traffic signals, CCTV, highway pumps, and information signs – so no two days are ever the same.
What a typical day could look like:
- Installing and maintaining CCTV systems across towns, villages, and highways – including police and mobile cameras.
- Testing, maintaining, and replacing equipment to keep everything running smoothly.
- Delivering excellent service to our clients and the public.
- Working safely at height using MEWPs and ladders.
- Following all relevant safety procedures and electrical regulations.
What do I need to be successful in the role?
If joining via the electrician route:

Recognised electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, AM2).

Keen to develop your skills and learn CCTV installation and maintenance.
If joining via the CCTV route:
-
Proven experience in CCTV installation, maintenance, and repair.

Strong understanding of CCTV systems, wiring, and fault diagnosis.
For both routes:
Some of our ‘nice to haves’ are;
- IPAF/PASMA working at heights training
- It would be a benefit if you have a good knowledge of the 18th Edition
- Working on the Highway training and qualifications
- Health and Safety training certification
We can however support the right candidate to achieve any level of industry training/qualifications they may not have in the ‘nice to have’ list
