About the position

Council’s Safer Communities Department are looking for Parking Officers who will be responsible for efficient Parking Enforcement services in accordance with the Road Safety Road Rules 2017 and other parking regulations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct daily routine and regular patrols throughout the municipality and issue infringement notices for parking breaches using Council’s electronic infringement system;
  • Maintain timely and accurate records in relation to Infringement Notices and all work undertaken; and
  • Ensure detailed notes are recorded for all relevant incidents and escalate to the Senior Safer Communities Officer (Parking & Litter) as required.

This is a full time role working 38 hours per week.

About you

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • A broad understanding of the wider functions of Council’s Parking Enforcement Services and operations;
  • Well developed administrative skills;
  • A working knowledge of relevant parking enforcement procedures, legislation, regulations and Council local laws; and
  • Knowledge of the administrative functions associated with Parking Infringements.

This position is a Band 4 currently remunerated $72,896.56 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
