What you will be doing in this role

We’re thrilled to welcome experienced Registered Nurses to join our incredible team on the Neuroscience/Neurosurgery ward, lovingly known as Radley Ward. This 29-bed unit provides a fast-paced, diverse environment where you’ll care for patients with a wide range of conditions, including acute stroke care, brain and spinal surgeries, neuro-oncology procedures, and general neurology cases such as Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, migraines, and seizures. Recently certified as a Stroke Unit by the Australian Stroke Coalition, Radley is also a leader in Parkinson’s treatment, offering cutting-edge therapies like Deep Brain Stimulation, Apomorphine, and Duodopa.

You’ll become part of a close-knit, long-standing team that places collaboration, compassion, and excellence at the forefront of everything we do. Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager, you’ll be supported every step of the way through hands-on training, buddy shifts, and ongoing guidance as you settle into your role. Our approachable NUM has an open-door policy and is genuinely invested in the well-being of both our patients and staff. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a supportive, team-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you!

  • A background in neuroscience, neurosurgery, or surgical nursing is preferred, but we’re also excited to hear from those with a strong desire to learn and grow in these areas.
  • A compassionate individual with high emotional intelligence, able to build meaningful connections with patients and their families.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to foster positive professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues alike.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster of 8-hour shifts, ensuring the team can continue to provide consistent and excellent care.
  • Full working rights in Australia, enabling you to engage fully with the team and make a real impact on patient care.
