About the role:
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Service Operations Manager / Regional Service Branch Manager with a strong background working in a service-based organisation, preferably the lift industry or similar, such as, Fire, Security, HVAC, Plumbing.
The position reports directly to the Regional General Manager for NSW and is responsible for Schindler's largest business unit in Australia. The role will require an effective leader who can motivate, drive and support a highly proficient team of managers through to our industry-leading service teams in the field, whilst overseeing the best service for our customers.
The role has full responsibility for the P&L of our NSW Service division and will see you managing a team of Service Managers, Key Account Managers and Sales Managers, ensuring that service requirements are delivered on time, on budget and in accordance with all safety and quality procedures.

Key Accountabilities:
- Managing key customer relationships, with the ability to understand and act upon customer needs.
- Driving consistent and reliable financial performance, including proven experience in driving business growth and minimising labour costs
- Coordinating manpower to fulfil 100% of job requirements.
- Building and maintaining an effective service management team
- Performance management of both programs and people
- Driving and promoting safe behaviours and culture
What we are looking for:
- Experience working in operations/service management ideally in the lift industry or a similar industry.
- A degree in either business management is highly regarded.
- A motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills.
- Strong leadership and business management skills
- A clear commitment to safety, quality, environment and customer relationships
- Previous people management experience, particularly with unionised workforces
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with demonstrated skills in contract negotiation and customer management
