| As a shop technician, you will maintain the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the shop equipment and facilities, proactively identifying problems and developing solutions to improve shop efficiency. Reporting to the shop manager with up-to-date inventories and safety or equipment concerns, you will demonstrate safe machine operation to students, assist faculty with class demonstrations, oversee the thorough and timely completion of daily assignments, and assist in enforcing proper use of WebCheckout for shop tools and equipment. You will also attend all college-sponsored safety training sessions and provide backup operations support during times of high demand. |

CNC General Machinist

| As the CNC generalist machinist, you will be responsible for adjusting machines to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut, as well as ensuring the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality output. Responsibilities will include assisting students with the fabrication of course-related projects by utilizing CNC technology in the shop; providing support with departmental and university infrastructure; and creating parts for special projects, renovations, and construction. In this position you will be expected to clearly communicate with students on necessary procedures and information for CNC use, edit student CAD files as needed, program and execute three and five-axis CNC projects with Mastercam, and work collaboratively with the operations coordinator and shop staff to assist students with their projects. |

Technical Director

| As the technical director, you will supervise all television, theater, stage and film productions, and live events in collaboration with other department leaders to create and adhere to appropriate budgets for labor and supplies for each project. In this role you will plan and maintain detailed production and design schedules; organize, advertise, and lead regular production meetings for SFLM productions with necessary stakeholders; and oversee SFLM shop staff. Responsibilities include managing department shops, coordinating with shop managers for production materials and equipment to ensure projects are in full compliance with OSHA and SCAD safety policies and procedures, and acting as lead supervisor in the transportation of all technical and design elements of each production for various venues. |

Learning Experience Designer

| As the learning experience designer, you will facilitate the advancement of teaching and learning initiatives through the development of dynamic SCADnow courses, the design and production of instructional media to support online learning experiences, and by modeling best practices in instructional engagement. Responsibilities will include training SCAD faculty and students on how to utilize educational technology usage to advance learning and engagement across all SCAD locations and learning modalities. In this position you will collaborate with faculty, academic leaders, and other subject-matter experts to design dynamic learning experiences to support online learning; identify, create, and curate academic content and artifacts that exemplify engaged teaching and learning; produce and deploy transformative, engaging student and faculty-facing technology resources and interactive media for an array of digital platforms; and support professional development and student orientation programs through various methods. |
