Associate Dean Savannah
SCAD Savannah seeks a highly motivated associate dean of the School of Film and Acting to accomplish university, school, and departmental goals with a focus on team building, motivation, and collaboration.
Print Production/Graphic Designer Savannah
As a production artist/graphic designer, you will work with the associate art director and senior art director, as well as a diverse team of fellow designers, writers, project managers, and production managers to generate communication solutions that feature designs reflecting the university's key positions. You will design comprehensive and effective layouts, manipulate graphic elements and type, prepare files for production, and assist with creating concepts and designs for presentation to the associate and senior art director. You will also work to achieve consistency in visual communication, think creatively and critically to solve design problems across multiple projects, and adhere to department design and brand standards while meeting all due dates.   In this role, you will be crucial to the team's success through the creation, formatting, and maintenance of campaign branding sheets and files for sharing, production, and archival needs. You will apply existing creative branding to new jobs and uphold SCAD and department standards for file management, pre-press work, and proofing protocols. Among other duties, your role will also involve staying abreast of new trends in design and print production, implementing rush job designs, and performing other responsibilities as assigned to help meet department and university goals.   The successful candidate should be able to take direction, follow instructions, and be open to constructive feedback while maintaining a professional and positive attitude. The candidate should demonstrate excellent time management, refined typography, and collaborative skills, as well as the ability to work independently. They should also possess strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. An attention to detail and an ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines is essential. Minimum Qualifications:   Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related discipline  Two to five years of experience as a production artist or similar position  Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) or other design software Dynamic portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of expertise, including design principles, production, and layout, as well as the production of print and interactive designs (i.e., file formats, color profiles, resolution) Preferred Qualifications:   Experience designing with PowerPoint and/or Keynote presentation software  Certificates, licenses, and registrations:   Valid driver’s license   Travel required:   Less than 10%  Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Student Success Adviser Savannah
As a student success adviser, you will assist 400 to 500 students in preparing for professional careers by creating a positive environment and monitoring their progress. You will achieve this goal through a regular communication plan that involves proactive outreach to identified students through the early alert program, providing counsel, and answering questions related to the financial aid process. You will also collaborate with various offices – including admission, bursar, student involvement, career and alumni success, counseling, etc. – to develop programs that promote student retention.
Assistant Director of the Office of Neurodiversity Services Savannah
As the assistant director of the office of neurodiversity services, you will consult with university departments – including disability resources, counseling, academic departments, residence life, registrar's office, academic affairs, admissions, etc. – regarding disability and behavioral issues related to neurodiversity. You will provide one-on-one support and use applied behavior analysis therapy to determine necessary accommodations and academic adjustments based on the student's documentation, Section 504/ADA guidelines, and other screening tools. Your responsibilities will include providing skills training to students to improve their executive functioning, life skills, and emotion regulation. You will also manage an active caseload of neurodivergent students, provide therapy groups and community referrals as needed, and participate in campus-wide efforts to improve access for neurodivergent students.
