| As a carpenter, you will handle all major and minor building maintenance and repairs, including tasks related to roof framing, soffit, and fascia. You will read and interpret construction drawings, complete assigned work order requests, and use the system to document problems needing correction. Responsibilities include the operation of various hand tools and power equipment; the completion of inspections and repairs on signs, bulletin boards, and other building features; and coordination with different areas of physical resources for repairs that require assistance. Among other duties, you will be on-call to manage emergencies, informing your supervisor when situations need help from other crafts. Additionally, you will follow all SCAD, OSHA, and PPE safety policies and procedures and adhere to local building codes. You will also follow proper communication channels and work in a safety-focused manner. |
