Complex Director Ypsilanti
The Complex Director (CD) is responsible for the residential life functions in two or more residence halls. The CD fosters a safe, positive, and inclusive community environment that encourages students to develop their full potential. This position includes educational, supervisory and administrative functions that promote student engagement, academic success, personal development, and a strong sense of community. Given the unique nature of this live-in position, the position has a renewable contract for up to four years ending on July 15 of each year.
Part-Time Lecturer (Art) Ypsilanti
The School of Art & Design invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer positions in the undergraduate program. We are currently seeking several additional instructors to teach Art Education, possibly Fibers and Art History. Depending on the needs of the program, which vary in the regular Fall and Winter terms, we may seek new Part-Time Lecturers to typically teach non-majors courses in studio art and art appreciation, courses in studio art, and/or art history courses. Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules. Perform related departmental duties as required. Applicants must possess, or be in process of completing, a terminal degree in their field (MFA for studio art and design courses or PhD for Art History). Prior teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred. For studio art courses professional experience and teaching within higher education may be considered commensurate to a terminal degree. Appointments for each term are finalized by the School Director in consultation with the area faculty and the personnel committee. Please submit a cover letter and resume.

Visiting Professor (Costume / Generalist) Ypsilanti
The School of Communication, Media, and Theatre Arts seeks a visiting professor (costume design generalist) for a one-year appointment. This position will include teaching two classes (Entertainment Design & Technology and/or Theatre) and designing for 1-2 shows per semester. The visiting professor will engage with Entertainment Design & Technology and Theatre faculty and staff, support and mentor student designers and technicians, and contribute to a robust co-curricular production program.
