Chair, School of Aviation Richmond Campus
The Chair of the School of Aviation at Eastern Kentucky University holds a pivotal role in ensuring the program’s professional responsibility, integrity, and strategic execution. They collaborate closely with the College of Justice, Safety & Military Science and the university’s executive leadership to advocate for and promote the Aviation Program within the local, state, and national aviation community. With concentrations in Professional Flight, Aerospace Management, Aerospace Technology, and an emerging focus on Unmanned Aircraft Systems, the Chair orchestrates the integration of diverse disciplines into the aviation curriculum, enhancing teaching methodologies, laboratory experiences, and delivery methods. Instructional responsibilities include teaching one class per semester while overseeing faculty and staff within the program. Cultivating professional relationships within the aviation industry, exploring donor support, and identifying opportunities for program growth and enhancement are essential aspects of the role. The Chair spearheads efforts in student recruitment and retention, devises marketing strategies, and adapts to the evolving demands and trends of the aviation sector. Resource management is another critical aspect, encompassing the acquisition and maintenance of aircraft, training devices, parts, fuel, and materials to meet program demands. The Chair takes charge of planning, developing, and maintaining accountability for departmental expenditures and budgets while fostering a culture of safety and compliance throughout the program. This multifaceted role requires a blend of leadership, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, and dedication to the advancement of aviation education and practice.
Apprentice Plumber Richmond Campus
An EKU Apprentice Plumber performs basic plumbing maintenance tasks while assisting a craftsman and craft foreman in implementing and completing assigned work orders. This position is actively learning more advanced plumbing skills in an effort to achieve a Journeyman
Athletic Trainer, Football Richmond Campus
To assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine in the administration of a Division I intercollegiate athletic program in adherence to all university and Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure regulations. Duties include the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries, drug testing, insurance coordination, and travel with athletic teams. Primary coverage will be Football.
Data Integrity Specialist Richmond Campus
A TRIS Data Integrity Specialist manages client training records by collecting, analyzing and processing data to ensure quality and compliance with state regulations. The TRIS Data Specialist provides technical assistance to state agencies and community partners across Kentucky. Provides end user instruction and support in finding and using data for organizational needs. This position also performs the duties of a software tester in order to ensure that new or modified functionality works as needed.
Game Operations Staff (PL) Richmond Campus
Game operations staff will be responsible for aiding in all aspects of game day operations for the EKU Athletic Department. This includes but is not limited to game & event setup, ticketing, video production, statistics, first aid, parking, and table crew duties responsibilities.
