| To assist the Head Coach and all other Assistant Coaches and Staff in the administration of a Division I intercollegiate men's and women's Track and Field and Cross Country program that complies with the mission, guidelines, rules and regulations of the University, the conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). More specifically, this person is responsible for, but not limited to, coaching student-athletes who participate in distance and/or middle distance events and cross country, recruiting, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, interacting with internal and external constituents, administration of camps/clinics, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, sport administrator and/or Director of Athletics. |

| Advises assigned students for the purpose of assisting them in establishing plans and goals. Provides onboarding services to assist with required petitions, transfer credits, and course scheduling. Assists with graduation clearance process for assigned students. Reports to Associate Dean and works closely with other college advisors to learn curriculum of relevant departments and assist and track curricular processes and changes. Utilizes university resources such as DegreeWorks, Advising 360, Banner, and Slate to process information and keep timely and accurate records. Interacts with students through meetings, phone, and/or email to troubleshoot or problem solve advising and retention challenges. |
