Executive Director, The Harkin Institute - 998430 Iowa
The Harkin Institute seeks an outstanding Executive Director to lead its next phase of growth. Acting with integrity and a deep commitment to the Institute’s mission, the Executive Director provides leadership to the Institute’s staff and its National Advisory Council to further the organization’s impact. The Executive Director position reports directly to the University President. The Executive Director will drive the organization’s ongoing growth and transformation in a rapidly changing political and policy landscape. The Executive Director will lead an institute that is already considered a leader and aspires to do even more to advance opportunities for all in the areas of disability, retirement security, and wellness & nutrition. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, the Executive Director will provide day-to-day leadership of the Institute in service to its mission and will be responsible for the overall strategic, programmatic, and financial success of the organization. Grounds & Support Lead Person - 999814 Iowa
Under direct or indirect supervision from the Grounds Manager, direct the work of and perform assigned duties of Grounds and Support positions, while following applicable policies and safety procedures. This position performs duties and assists other employees in all necessary areas of grounds maintenance including training and assisting in the evaluation of the work of Grounds worker positions.
Head Start Home-Based Teacher (9 mo) Iowa
This 9 month position is responsible for providing in-home, preschool instruction to children ages 3-5 and educating parents/guardians on early childhood development. The Home-Based Teacher is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating early childhood, developmentally appropriate curriculum and practice and coaching parents/guardians on ensuring school readiness.
Head Start Administrative Assistant II – at Southridge Iowa
This position, under the supervision of the Program Director, will provide detail-oriented and timely administrative support to central office staff and other agency professionals. The Administrative Assistant will also facilitate requests and projects from leadership. This position will assist with regular, timely, appropriate social media content across various platforms. The successful candidate will promote high quality customer service skills and a broad understanding of Drake University Head Start's philosophy, initiatives, vision and its relationship to stakeholders and the community professionally.
Admission Counselor - 998665 Iowa
The Office of Admission seeks a dynamic individual to join our team as our newest Admission Counselor. The person in this role will manage an assigned recruitment territory and assist in achieving the student recruitment and enrollment objectives for the university. They will represent Drake University to a variety of constituents, including prospective students and their families, school counselors, and more. This position requires regular travel to the assigned recruitment territory in order to attend college fairs, visit high schools, and meet individually with prospective students. The Admission Counselor will work with students through the entire recruitment process, from inquiry to matriculation. We are looking for someone with outstanding communication skills who thrives on connecting and building relationships with others. This person should have a keen attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a drive to meet established goals.
